Important information

Covid Safe Terms & Conditions

Your booking is not confirmed until you confirm that you have accepted the following terms & conditions.

Full payment of the balance must be made before the day of the event or in cash when your artist arrives and before they begin.

You must confirm that you have read and understand all of the following guidelines and will take FULL responsibility for the behaviour of your guests for the duration of your event.

Please contact me if you do not understand or agree to any of the following:

You / your child's face needs to be CLEAN and DRY .

Please wipe noses & mouths thoroughly before being seated for painting/ glitter. Face wipes will be provided for your use.

Anyone displaying any COVID symptoms should not request facepaint. Your artist will not paint anyone with a runny nose, persistent cough or who appears to be unwell.

Anyone who appears to be suffering from: open wounds, cold sores, chicken pox, measles, mumps, conjunctivitis, infectious skin conditions, eczema or appears unwell will not be painted.

Children (and their actions) remain the responsibility of the party hosts/ organisers or their parents or guardians at all times.

In order to keep everyone safe,

a responsible adult WILL be required to supervise the line.

Children/ adults may not touch any of the artist’s equipment or paints. They should wait the required distance from the artist until asked to approach.  This will take a little time between each person as the artist will need to ensure that satisfactory sterilisation of surfaces, seats and equipment is completed before each guest is painted. Please ensure that parents/ guests understand this.

Please ensure that a well-lit, properly VENTILATED  area with shelter from sun, wind and rain is available for your artist and guests.

There must be enough space for all guests to stand clear of the chairs and equipment until it is their turn to be painted.  If you are having a disco, please remember that the lighting and noise level may not be suitable for facepainting.

It is very difficult to face paint with cold hands, please think about this and provide an area which is warm enough.  There is no finite minimum temperature. Please discuss with your artist on the day to ensure that they are able to work comfortably if the temperature where they are required to be situated is either very hot or cold.

Something small may be painted on the hand or arm of children between 2 and 3 years of age at your artist's discretion. Please trust your artist's judgement and experience. Sometimes parents are keener than their children. If the artist feels that a child is unhappy or not enjoying the experience, they WILL stop immediately. Please understand that for ethical reasons, this is very important! Face painting should be a fun experience…….

Designs which cover the area under the nose or mouth are no longer available.

All artists representing me use products and sterilisation equipment designed for professional use which comply with EU cosmetic regulations. As with any cosmetics and sanitisers, some people may be sensitive to any/all of the ingredients. Sunny-faces will not be held liable in the event of any reaction. Your artist can conduct a patch test 30 minutes before painting if you are concerned. For this reason, children between the age of 2-3 years may only have a very small design on their arm.

TO REMOVE Face paint and glitter - please use your normal brand of soap & warm water

Depending on skin type, some colours may linger on the skin (mainly turquoise, black and green)

ANY concerns regarding a possible reaction to face paints? Please discuss with your artist BEFORE queuing/being painted. Your artist  will not paint if the child appears to have any type of skin sensitivity.

Intoxicated guests – Your artist has the right to refuse to paint anyone who is being offensive or making crude remarks.  If a guest appears to be intoxicated, face paint or glitter may be declined. This decision will be based on the guest’s ability to communicate effectively and to sit or stand still enough for paint or glitter to be applied.  Refusal to paint a guest should in no way be considered a value judgement and will be handled discreetly and sensitively by your artist.

Your artist will be as careful as possible when painting, however, they and sunny-faces accept no responsibility if face paint/ glitter is transferred onto surfaces, inflatable’s, clothing, carpets or vehicle interiors.

Thanks for reading this in it's entirety. Please confirm when you book that you have read and agree to all of the terms herein and that your guests will be advised and supervised accordingly. Failure to follow these guidelines will result in your artist terminating their services and leaving your event.

I'm sorry if this doesn't sound friendly or fun, however, the safety of you, your guests and the artist must always be the most important factor.
